Add your children

In Profile, add a learner with just a first name or nickname, an age and a picture they'll recognise. Children get kids' mode: bigger buttons, stars and no streaks, prices or sharing.

Grown-ups stay in charge

Switching away from a child's profile, or adding and changing learners from it, needs a grown-up's answer to a quick question.

On every device, if you choose

Signed in, you can keep your children's learning in your account too, so it carries on wherever you sign in. Nothing about them leaves your device until you agree, and you can stop at any time.

The updates bell

Beside the Academy logo, the bell shows how many updates have arrived since you last looked. Tap it to see them, starting with anything you asked for.

Always know if you're connected

A small green light by the logo means you're connected. If the connection drops, it turns into an orange offline badge, and your lessons keep working. When you're back, the page catches up by itself.

Lessons on the go

Every lesson you've opened works without a connection, along with Learn, Practice, the Daily, the Piano, Tuner and Metronome. The app opens offline too once it's installed.

Nothing lost

What you learn offline is saved on your device, and if you're signed in it syncs to your account the moment you're back online.

Updates that never interrupt

A new version never breaks the page you have open. When one's ready, a small note offers to refresh when it suits you.

Help shape the Academy

In Profile, share an idea, ask for a song, lesson or instrument, or tell us what isn't working. It takes a few seconds, and it's sent without your name or email.

Hear when yours ships

Everything you send is listed in Profile. When an update delivers it, your What's New note says so, on every device you use.

Version numbers

Every update now has a number, like v1.2.0, shown at the bottom of Profile and on each note here, so you always know which version you're on.

A medal for every milestone

Your first lesson, a unit badge, a new level and a whole Path level each get their own gold Paruto medal, with your level and stars on it. Finishing a whole level turns the medal in 3D light. Tap anywhere to skip, and share the moment with a friend.

A quick flourish for the everyday

Stars pop in and a gold tick draws itself when you finish a lesson, a drill, a Daily or a practice session. It never gets in your way.

Celebrations your way

Each moment has a soft chime of its own. Turn it off in Profile, under Sounds & feedback. With Reduce Motion on, you see the finished medal, still.

When the Academy gets better, you'll see a short note like this once, on Learn. Every note stays on the updates page.

Sixty-two lessons, from first notes to the blues

Music Foundations runs from high and low to minor keys and the 12-bar blues, across hearing, rhythm, reading and making music, with a real song to perform at the end of every unit. Level 1 is free for everyone.

Paruto Daily, three ways

A new melody, rhythm and chord progression to find every day. Six tries each, a share card for your friends, and the same puzzle for everyone.

Challenge a friend

Finish a practice drill and send a friend the very same questions. They see your score, and you can challenge each other back.

Your progress on every device

Sign in with Paruto ID, with a passkey or an emailed code and no password, and your stars, streak and practice follow you. Or keep learning as a guest; everything works without an account.

A tap away on your phone

Add the Academy to your Home Screen, Dock or taskbar. It opens full screen, straight into your lessons.
